913,270. Air heating-apparatus. DAIMLERBENZ A.G. Aug. 12, 1960, No. 28058/60. Class 64 (3). In a motor vehicle air heater in which air flows over tube groups 1, 2 extending between headers, the header 3 is divided by a partition 5 into a smaller inlet chamber 6 and a larger outlet chamber 7 for the heating fluid (e.g. water) flowing through the tube groups in series, the arrangement being such that the total surface area of the inflow tube group 1 is smaller than that of the outflow group 2 so that substantially equal quantities of heat are given up to the air by each tube group.
