A steam cooker comprises a base pot 10 on which rests an annular member 12 having openings 16 for the passage of steam and a central opening 17 in which a dish may be placed, similar annular members 12<SP>1</SP>, 12<SP>11</SP> having integral wall on skirt portions 18<SP>1</SP>, 18<SP>11</SP>. Lids 20, 22 may be used, a vent 21 being provided in the lid 20.
