A tray comprises a substantially disc-like upper part 21 and a lower part 1 having an annular right-angular seat 5 adapted to receive removably the preferably downwardly flanged circumferential edge 23 of the upper part 21. The side 7 of the lower part 1 slopes downwardly and inwardly from the seat 5 to a flanged portion 9 which acts as a supporting base, this base having a recessed bottom 13 consisting of successive stepped annuli descending from outside to inside, the upper disc-like part 21 also having such annuli, the two sets of annuli being substantially superimposed, the annuli of the upperpart having apertures 41, 43 and 45 punched therein. Circular apertures are specified having downwardly and inwardly protruding lips 35 for the reception with slight clearance of the lower buttonlike bulges 47 of cups 49. A cup 49 has preferably a downwardly and inwardly converging side 53 and a substantially flat shoulder, extending from a seat 51, to rest upon the protruding lip 35 of an aperture. The trays may be stacked one upon another in which case the supporting base 9 of one tray rests within the step 33 and upon the outermost annulus of the upper part 21 of another tray. A circular depression 25 is provided as a thumb rest when a tray or stack of trays is being carried.
