Abstract
902,002. Trays. HALL & GOULDING Ltd. Nov. 7, 1958 [Aug. 13, 1957], No. 25564/57. Class 18. Trays that can be nested and stacked made of wire, sheet metal, or a combination of these materials comprise hooks 17 which extend laterally from the lower part of the tray at two opposite sides to a point vertically beneath the rim 11 and rest on the rim of a tray beneath when the trays are stacked. To place trays inside each other for nesting, Fig. 5, the hooks 17 of an upper tray are placed through openings in the sides of a lower tray, the tray is moved to one side to permit the hooks at the other side to pass inside the rim 11 at that other side and the upper tray is then lowered till side members, 3, 5 rest on members 4, 6 of the lower tray. The trays may be open at one or more sides to facilitate loading. The hooks 17 may extend the full width of one side of the tray. As shown in Fig. 5 the hooks may extend downwardly 20 to space the trays when stacked and these hooks may be resilient.
