Abstract
906,359. Dispensing measured quantities of liquid. V.C.A. Inc. March 17, 1961 [April 8, 1960], No. 9880/61. Class 106 (5). [Also in Groups XVII and XXVIII] An aerosol device delivering measured volumes of liquid comprises an all-plastic vessel 10 with integral walls, the vessel having a plastic closure member 16 which is spin welded thereto. The aerosol delivers only the pressurized liquid in the valve housing bore 66 when the button 18 is depressed as a flat portion 62 on the valve stem 22 engages a shoulder 60. A fitting 28 in the pushbutton engages in a slot 32 in the upper part of the vessel to guide and retain the button. For use in the inverted position, the dip tube 72 is dispensed with and the valve housing is cut short adjacent the valve stem tip.
