Abstract

904,107. Boots &c. OSGOOD, C. R. Oct. 4, 1960 [Oct. 9, 1959], No. 33976/60. Class 17 (2). A shoe unit of moisture-pervious, resilient material consists of a sole portion which is concave at the heel 11 and a wall at the heel end extending to the ball of the foot along each side of the shank, this wall 12, 13 being of varying height and inclined inwardly so as to grip the foot. The wall is preferably of maximum height on the inner side of the shank and is preferably of about the following dimensions: centre of heel, 1“ inches, increasing to 1# inches on the inner side of the shank and to 1# inches on the outer side. The shoe may be moulded from a mould made from a composite imprint of several human feet all within a particular size range. Specifications 346,771, 408,937 and 496,436 are referred to.
