901,960. Yielding bearing supports. GETRIEBEWERKE LEIPZIG VEB. March 1, 1960, No. 4998/62. Divided out of 901,959. Class 12 (1). [Also in Group XXIV] Bearings 7, 10, supporting a sungear 16 of a three-element planet gear having two or more planets 24, are housed in metal sleeves 8, resiliently mounted in rubber or metal elements 9 in the casing 1 and planet-carrier 13, respectively, to permit load-equalizing yielding movement of the sun in radial, angular and axial directions. In Fig. 2, not shown, the resilient elements for the sun bearings are barrelled metal sleeves for radial movement and sinuous discs for axial. The bearings 7, 10 are asymmetrically spaced, and the resiliences of the mountings are designed to be inversely proportional to the bearing load, by suitable choice of materials or dimensions.
