Abstract

900,574. Fishing rod rests. SMITH, A. J. D. Dec. 30, 1960 [Feb. 9, 1960], No. 4536/60. Class 48. A fishing rod rest comprises two upper rods 11, 12 secured to a lower rod 10 by a clamp 13 so that the rod 12 is angularly adjustable relative to the rod 11. The fishing rod is supported by a full ring 17 or a C-ring at the top of the rod 12 and a fork 18 at the top of the rod 11. The lower end of the lower rod 10 is either pushed into the ground or it may be secured to a tree or to the side of a boat by a clip. The clamp 13 comprises a pair of check plates 13a and a bolt and wing nut 14. An eye at the end of the rod 12 is located by a second bolt and wing nut 15.
