Abstract

891,313. Compressors. BOSCH G.m.b.H., ROBERT. July 26, 1960 [July 29, 1959], No. 25921/60. Class 8(1). [Also in Group XXIX] A cylinder block and valve assembly for a piston pump, particularly a refrigerator pump, comprises a closure member 18 formed with a strip shaped base 19 and a tongue portion 20 at approximately 90 degrees to the base. The pump cylinder block 1 receives a plate 3 provided with an outlet port 8, located near the circumference of the cylinder bore, over which the tongue portion 20 is located. A stroke limiting component 21 overlies the closure element and a leaf spring member 14 provided with lugs 13 fixes the parts 18, 21 by the lugs engaging holes 11, 12 in the plate. A second plate 15 overlies the plate 3 and a third plate 24 provides a clamping plate which presses against the leaf spring 14 when the parts are secured by bolts 26. The angle of the closure member 18 points away from the axis of the cylinder bore and the legs of this member lie approximately on the cords of the cylinder bore. A groove 28 in plate 15 provides a connection between an inlet passage 7 and passage 6 to a passage 5 while a slot 17 provides a connection between the valve and a passageway 9, 10 leading to the outlet.
