Abstract
890,122. Recording-apparatus. SIEMENS & HALSKE A.G. Jan. 20, 1959 [Feb. 6, 1958], No. 2099/59. Class 106 (4). Recording-apparatus comprises a shaft, which rotates continuously during recording and which carries a recording member K extending helically along the axis of the shaft, a blade D which is controlled by an operating magnet M in such a way that, when the magnet is energized, the blade D is moved towards the recording member K, and means for moving a record strip P, in a direction perpendicular to the axis of the shaft, between the blade and the recording member K, wherein the operating magnet M is connected in series with a buzzer W which repeats the signals audibly. The member K prints on the strip P through a typewriter ribbon Z. To prevent double recording when the beginning or end of the member K is reached, two operating magnets may be used selectively to apply printing pressure on one side of the member K at a time, the selection being controlled by a cam in the shaft of the member K thus depending on the angle through which it has turned. The length of the marks may be kept uniform regardless of the lengths of the signals by using a relay circuit in which only a short-term response of the relay controls the magnet M. Two recording members may be provided on one shaft.
