Abstract
890,119. Indicating-apparatus. REDWING Ltd. Feb. 20, 1959 [March 24, 1958], No. 9416/58. Classes 106 (2) and 106 (4). [Also in Groups XVIII and XX] Indicating-apparatus comprises a manuallymovable plunger 9 and a stop 13 movable between a position wherein it projects into the path of movement of the plunger 9 to prevent or limit its movement and a position wherein it is displaced from the path of movement of the plunger 9, movement of the stop 13 into one or other of these positions being effected by means 21 operable on a change in a physical condition. As shown, when it is desired to ascertain whether the pressure in a container 23 is above a predetermined minimum value, manual pressure is applied to a push-button 10 to press the plunger 9 against a return-spring 12, towards a hole 18. Its passage through the hole 18 will be unimpeded if the pressure is insufficient for a Bourdon tube 21 to rotate the stop disc 13 against a spring 16 into a position obscuring the hole 18, thus giving the required indication by touch. The apparatus may be adapted to indicate a change in temperature in weight or in an electrical variable. Specification 756,023 is referred to.
