887,372. Polyolefin containing inks. MONTECATINI SOC. GENERALE PER L'INDUSTRIA MINERARIA E CHIMICA. May 25, 1959 [May 30, 1958], No. 17732/59. Addition to 880,545. Class 2(6) A writing and printing ink comprises a solution of one or more stereo block polymers of alpha-olefins having more than two carbon atoms and a dye or pigment. A chlorinated or sulphochlorinated polymer may be used; polypropylene is specified. Paraffin and/or a natural or synthetic resin may be present as may also an agent capable of increasing the initial adherence of the ink, e.g. a coumerone-indene resin, a phenol-formaldehyde resin or an acrylonitrilebutadiene resin. Specified solvents are tetrachloroethylene, methylethylketone and a petroleum fraction. Other specified additives are chlorinated paraffin wax and gum tragacanth, while cadmium green, violet B, aluminium powder and carbon black are specified dyes and pigments.
