Abstract

882,580. Pipe joints. VABIX A. B. July 1, 1960 [July 3, 1959], No.23077/60. Class 99(1). A water radiator valve 1 has a pipe 2 inserted in the radiator connection 13 which has a flared end 14, a toroidal sealing ring 11 being clamped between a flange 6 on a lock nut 5 and the flared end 14 on tightening of a severed sleeve 9. The end of the nut 5 has a washer 7 therein which cooperates with a flange 4 on the tube 2 to prevent withdrawal of the tube 2 from the connection 13 but permit limited movement thereof. A washer 12 may be inserted between the ring 11 and flange 6.
