Abstract

881,632. Thermal switches; snap-action switches. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. Nov. 4, 1959 [Nov. 7, 1958], No. 35828/58. Class 38 (5). A switch has a member 1 deformed across an axis by an annular mounting member 2 and stable also in a position deformed across a second axis at an angle to the first. The member may be bimetallic or act as a slave to a bimetallic element and it carries a contact co-operating with a fixed contact secured on an adjusting screw 4. Additional biasing means may he provided to enable the operating temperature of the device to be altered.
