Abstract
877,959. Haymaking machines. VAN DER LELY N.V., C. July 25, 1958 [Aug. 12, 1957], No. 24103/58. Class 6(3). A haymaking machine comprises a flat frame consisting of first and second beams 6, 5 rigidly connected together in parallel relationship ground-wheels 3, 4 being associated with the beams for supporting the frame, the arrangement being that in a first working position the rake-wheels can all be mounted on the first beam in alignment, for side-delivery, the frame being then mainly behind the rake wheels, and in a second working position some of the rake-wheels can be transferred to the second beam 5 which is connected to the remainder of the frame at one end only. The frame is completed by a strut 7 and a reinforcing strip 9. Each frame member 5, 6, 7 may comprise a pair of vertically spaced tubes. The device is mounted on three swivel-wheels 2, 3, 4 the swivel axes of which can be locked by pins 19 and sector-plates 17. The machine may be towed in the direction I for sidedelivery or the direction III for tedding or swath-turning. Some of the rake-wheels from the beam 6 may be transferred to sockets on the beam 5 for swath-turning. Specification 877,958, is referred to.
