A cover for a gas cock of the kind having inlet and outlet connections e, k respectively, and an operating hand lever g, comprises a case a open at the back and having two apertures band d for the passage of the respective connections to the cock, and a slot f through which the lever can pass and in which it can move to operate the cock, with means such as spring clips i for securing the cover to the cock. The lever g is spring-biased to engage one side of the slot f so that it moves into a retaining recess h of the slot in closed position (Fig. 4). The cock may be secured to a skirting board by brackets j. Specification 799,506 is referred to.
