Abstract
1531899 Valves CANADIAN GENERAL ELECTRIC CO Ltd 24 Sept 1976 39714/76 Heading F2V A valve assembly for a gas range comprises a valve 35 having a plunger 38 movable axially between a position (to which it is biased) in which the valve is open, and a depressed position in which the valve is closed, and a pair of mounting holes 46, 47 extending through the valve parallel to the plunger 38, and a bracket 28 for mounting to a timer mechanism 10 and having a plurality of threaded holes 34a-34h so arranged about an opening 33 that the valve may be secured to the bracket by screws (48), (49), Figs. 4-7 (not shown), extending through the holes 46, 47 into two of the threaded holes to give a plurality of different orientations of the valve, in each of which the plunger 38 extends through the opening 33 for engagement with an actuating member (17), Fig. 2 (not shown), of the timer. Thus the valve can be positioned so that that side having the gas inlet and outlet is most conveniently positioned for connection to appropriate conduits.
