Abstract
928,471. Air filters. VOKES Ltd. March 14, 1962 [March 15, 1961; April 17, 1961], Nos. 9548/61 and 13846/61. Class 8(2). A gas filter panel 2, Fig. 1, enclosed in a resilient metal frame 4 is detachably clamped in sealing engagement with internal flanges of a casing 1 by pressure exerted by at least one elongated cam 5 acting on that side of the panel frame 4 remote from the casing flanges. A strip of sealing material 7 is interposed between said flanges and frame 4, and the bearings at the ends of a pair of cams 5 extending along two lower edges of the panel are mounted on rubber pads 8, Fig. 2. The cams 5 are operated by handles 6 and an aperture in the casing 1 through which the filter panel is inverted is closed by a door 3.
