Abstract

874,793. Stacking chairs. KANDYA Ltd. Dec. 21, 1959 [Dec. 24, 1958], No. 41745/58. Class 52(2). A stacking chair has two leg units 10 of laminated wood veneers shaped to inverted V- shape forming front and back legs 11, 12 respectively and a rail 13 to support a seat and back member of plywood of which the seat part 16 has lateral extensions which are screwed to the underside of rail 13. A convex rearward projection 18 in back 17 limits downward movement of the upper chair when stacked on a similar chair. Two chairs may be joined side by side with a single leg unit common to both.
