[Also in Group XXVIII] Apparatus for dispensing powders comprises a container 10 into which is inserted a flexible bag 14 containing a dry-gas generating substance such as dry ice and the powder 16. As the gas is generated the bag expands and exerts a pressure on the powder which is to be dispensed. The bag may be secured to the outlet 12 and contain the powder with the gas generating substance in the space formed between the bag and the container. The bag when expanded is preferably larger than the container.
