Abstract

868,343. Tube couplings. POWER FLEXIBLE TUBING CO. Ltd. March 9, 1960 [July 1, 1959], No. 22585/59. Class 99(1). An end fitting for corrugated metallic tubing having an outer braided covering comprises a sleeve 1 permanently secured to the end corrugation of the tubing, a ring 4 surrounding the sleeve and embracing the end of the braid and also permanently attached to the sleeve, and a nipple 3 carrying a union nut 2 slidable and rotatable thereon but non-removable from the nipple after the latter has been permanently secured to the sleeve. As shown, the sleeve' has a flange which abuts the end corrugation of the tubing, and a spigot portion inserted into the tubing.
