788,958. Pipe couplings; metal pipes. ANDERSSON, V. R. Oct. 24, 1955 [Oct. 26, 1954,] No. 30373/55. Classes 99(1) and 99(2). A helically ground tube 1 formed of helically wound metal strip is provided with an end fitting 4 having a tubular portion 5 which has a projection 8 engaging in the internal groove of the tube and a folded-back collar portion 7 which is of greater diameter than the tube. The end fitting 4 permits the attachment to the tube of a coupling element 10 which is clamped to the fitting 4 by a screwed sleeve 9 fitting over the tube.
