Abstract
863,988. Drawing board stands. MASON & SONS Ltd., E. N. Dec. 15, 1958 [Dec. 13, 1957; June 12, 1958], Nos. 38921/57 and 18812/58. Class 52(3). A drawing board 10 can be raised or lowered with respect to a supporting frame 5 by an electric motor 6<SP>b</SP> on the frame. The motor may operate rack and pinion gearing 16, 17 through a reduction gear 6<SP>c</SP> or can rotate a nut, by a chain or worm drive, through which a screwed rod secured to the back of the drawing board is moved. The frame 5 has side cheeks 3 pivoted at 4 on supporting brackets to enable the board to be angularly adjusted a clamping bolt 11 being provided. Spirally coiled spring strips 21 may be provided between the board and frame to assist the raising movement.
