Abstract

860,870. Pipe couplings. ESCO ARMATURFABRIKK OG MEK. VERKSTED A.S. June 4, 1957 [June 11, 1956], No. 17687/57. Class 99(1). A swivel coupling comprises a sleeve 1 which has a part inserted into a sleeve 2 in which it is secured by a locking wire 6 contained in grooves 5, a further groove 7 being provided for a circular sealing ring 8, the sleeves having nut like parts 3, 4 and screw-threads for engaging pipes (not shown). The wire 6 may be inserted into the grooves 5 through a hole 20 in the sleeve 2. The screw-threaded ends are of different diameters to accommodate pipes of different dimensions. In a modification, the coupling has internal screw-threads of the same size and has two grooves for packing rings on opposite sides of the locking wire.
