Abstract

860,352. Castors. FLEXELLO CASTORS & WHEELS Ltd., and WHITAKER, N. April 13, 1959 [June 10, 1958], No. 18540/58. Class 52(1). A castor has a wheel fork 1 pivotally mounted for rearward and upward movement within a housing 3 containing a rubber block 5 interposed between the crown 6 of the wheel fork and the roof 7 of the housing, loading of the castor causing compression of the block. In a modification, housing 3 contains an inner housing 11 and the crown 6 of the wheel fork is forwardly and downwardly inclined. The inner stem 4 revolves in a fixed outer stem 14 having a housing 15 for ball bearings 16 and hardened washers 17.
