Abstract

860,252. 8mall-vehicle wheels. GIORDANI, P. July 5, 1958, No. 21624/58. Class 144 (1). A wheel is made of two side halves 1, 2, one half having the rim 101 joined to a hub disc 102 by spokes 103 and the other half having the corresponding features 201, 202, 203, respectively, and each half is formed by pressing from a single sheet-metal blank. The spokes in each half are obtained by rolling into substantially tubular form each " leg " of a spider of strips connecting the hub disc to the rim. The wheel halves are joined by connecting each of the discs 101, 201 to a hub sleeve 6 and directly at the rim in the manner shown in Fig. 2 or otherwise, preferably with each spoke of one half arranged to lie within the angle formed by two spokes of the other.
