Abstract

859,997. Threshing machines. MASSEY-FERGUSON (UNITED KINGDOM) Ltd. July 3, 1957 [July 12, 1956], No. 21550/56. Class 6(3). A straw shaker mat 18 in a threshing machine has transverse ribs 19 of generally triangular shape in cross-section, each with a front wall 26 and a rear wall 25, the front wall being convex. Side walls 11 of the straw shaker mounted on a framework (not shown), have serrations 13, the rear sides 12 of which are steeper than the front sides 14. The mat is in sections of sheet metal, interrupted at intervals corresponding with stops 15 in the side walls 11 of the straw shaker to which the mat is rigidly attached by lugs 21. Between each two ribs 19 of the mat is a series of rectangular holes, Fig. 3 (not shown).
