Abstract

850,255. Gas turbine plant. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. Feb. 17, 1959 [May 29, 1958], No. 5421/59. Class 110 (3). [Also in Group XXIX] A valve has two chambers 19, 20 separated by a valve seat plate 14 containing a port 32 controlled by a wiper plate 35 slidably mounted in one chamber on a movable stem 37 and pressed on the seat by a spring 52. The valve 10 is used in a gas turbine fuel control system, Fig. 1, in which the valve stem 41 is actuated by a servomotor 84 controlled by an evacuated bellows 81 opposing a bellows 79 responsive to compressor inlet temperature at 77. Compressor outlet pressure at 76 passes through the controlled port 32 to an atmospheric bleed 27 and to a pipe 26 leading to, e.g., a bellows in a fuel control device 72 having a manual control 73 and controlling fuel flow at 74 to the burners.
