847,185. Knitting-machines. MORAT, F., [trading as MORAT KOMM.-GES., F.]. Sept. 5, 1958 [Sept. 5, 1957], No. 28571/68. Class 74 (2). The cylinder needle cam adjustment in a cylinder-and-dial machine is made by manually turning a nut 1 operatively connected to a part 6 threaded on a bolt 2. The upper edge of the nut 1 is numbered to enable the extent to which it is partly rotated to be observed and in addition it drives through pins 9, a pinion 8 coupled to a drum 5. On each complete revolution of the nut 1 the pins 9 partly rotate the pinion 8 and thereby the drum 5 which bears numerical markings on its edge and which in turn become visible through an aperture in a cap 3 fixed to an extension 2a of the bolt 2. The extent of rotation of the nut 1 from a predetermined datum can thereby be observed. The dial cams can be adjusted by similar devices radially mounted and having the numerical markings on the end faces of the components.
