Class 20(2) A metal ladder comprises tubular rungs 12 which pass through holes in the inner and outer walls of tubular stiles 11, the ends of the rungs being spun or swaged over to form annular beads 15 which interlock with holes 13 or dimples in the stile walls spaced from the edges of the rung receiving holes to prevent rotation. The rungs have longitudinal ribs to prevent slipping.
