843,276. Flow-boxes of paper-making machines. VALMET OY. June 28, 1957 [April 1, 1957], No. 20447/57. Class 96. Pulp flow at the side-edges of the outlet 3 of a flow-box of a paper-making machine is accelerated to counteract the frictional retardation normally occurring there. As illustrated, a cap 10 connected to a water-pipe 11 covers passageways in the wall 5 of the flow-box which direct a stream of water along a recess 14 to the outlet 3. Alternatively an endless moving belt may be fitted. Specification 804,543 is referred to.
