Abstract

841,155 Collectors. CKD CESKA LIPA, NARODNI PODNIK. Oct. 2, 1956 [Oct. 5, 1955], No. 29998/56. Class 38(1) The movable contact 3 forming an electrode of a welding press is secured to a piston 2 sliding in a cylinder 1 to which current is supplied, the piston being of reduced cross-section with respect to the cylinder so affording a tapered shoulder 6 and a interspare housing- trapezoidal contact density 9, 10, 11 to effect sliding contact between rod 2 and cylinder 1 as the piston is forced downwards by pressure in the cylinder spare above the piston, and, when the pressure is released, as it is forced up by spring 4 or by hydraulic pressure. The two latter alternative arrangements are then on the left and right hand side of the Figure respectively.
