Abstract

839,347. Conduits; couplings between relatively moving conducting parts; two-part couplings. BLANCHET, J. M. Jan. 3, 1957 [Jan. 12, 1956], No. 313/57. Classes 36 and 38 (1). A connector is described for use in an installation comprising a pair of parallel conductors 1a in a plastic moulding 2 with a dovetail base for mounting in a grooved support such as a skirting board the moulding having two inwardly directed flanges 2 which embed the conductors except for the surfaces thereof facing towards the base. Contact may be made at any point by a device 16, Fig. 4 having conducting hooks 20a on a pin 18 which is rotatable so that it can be inserted between the moulded flanges with the hooks at right angles to the position shown, the body 17 then being brought up to the moulding and the hooks pressed against the conductors. The axial movement of the bodies 17 is caused by constructing them in accordance with either Fig. 6 or Fig. 10. The outer faces of these bodies are apertured to receive standard plugs.
