Abstract
832,947. Spinning spindles. ZINSER TEXTILMASCHINEN G.m.b.H. March 31, 1958 [March 29, 1957], No. 10184/58. Class 120(2) Holding down means for spinning and twisting spindles comprises a sleeve of elastically deformable material which is fixed to the lower part of the spindle and engages over the top of a flange or collar on the spindle wharf. The sleeve prevents penetration of fly into the spindle mounting and the throwing off of excess oil. The sleeve 4 of rubber or synthetic material engages over the top of a collar 7 of the wharf 3 and is clamped between a bolster 6 and a flange la of the lower part of the spindle, Fig. 2, or engages a groove of the flange, Fig. 3 (not shown). The sleeve 4 may engage a beading of a widened part 8 of the wharf, Fig. 4, or pins. or an expanding ring inserted in the part 8, Fig. 6 (not shown). The sleeve 4 may be vulcanized to the flange 1a. The spindle may be braked by pressing the sleeve by means of a projection thereon against the wharf.
