Abstract

The invention comprises dyestuffs which are salts of acid triaryl methane dyes with basic triarylmethane dyes, and which are made by mixing aqueous solutions of the triarylmethane dyes concerned, the product being precipitated, or by dissolving the components in an alcoholic solvent and evaporating off the solvent. Examples are given. The dyes are used in the manufacture of transfer sheet materials and green, blue, red and violet dyes are illustrated.
