Class 139 In a repeating alarm clock the alarm arbor 11, Fig. 3, carries a lever 4 having a projection with two notches 4a, 4b, Fig. 5. The alarm wheel 7 has at one side a cam 7a which cooperates in known manner with a pin 10 on the arbor 9, and at the other side a conical hub 8 which normally engages the arm 2c of a lever 2 the arm 2a of which is retained out of engagement with the teeth of the minute wheel 3. An arm 2b of the lever 2 normally engages the lever 4 to prevent movement of the alarm anchor arbor 11. When the wheel 7 moves forward at the set time the lever 2 is moved to release the lever 4 and to bring the arm 2a into engagement with the teeth of the minute wheel 3. Upon depression of a push button 6 the catch 5a of a stopping lever 5 engages in the notch 4a of the lever 4 so stopping the alarm. Upon continued rotation of the minute wheel 3 the lever 2 is rocked clockwise and the arm 2b depresses the lever 4' to allow the stopping lever 5 to be returned to the inactive position by a spring (not shown) so that the alarm again operates. If the button 6 is depressed until the catch 5a of the lever 5 engages in the notch 4b the lever 4 is permanently locked. In a modification, Fig. 8, the lever 2 cooperates with a gear 101 mounted on the minute wheel 7 and having fewer teeth.
