Abstract
816,232. Synchronous motors. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Ltd. April 26, 1957 [April 30, 1956], No. 13240/56. Class 35. In a synchronous motor compound excitation arrangement, the field winding 3 is fed through rectifiers from a transformer 6 whose voltage primary winding 8 is energized at a phase angle of 90 degrees with respect to the line voltage through a phase-splitting circuit 9, while the current primary winding 7 is connected in reverse so as to reduce any deviations from the desired reactive current component due to alterations in the line voltage.
