Abstract
816,229. Capping electric lamps. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. April 4, 1956 [April 7, 1955; Oct. 28, 1955], No. 10325/56. Class 39(2) [Also in Groups XXXVI and XL(a)] In the construction of electric lamp or discharge tube shown in Figs. 1 and 2 the circular plate 8 of synthetic resin carrying the contacts 6 and 7 is held at its edge in a recess in the glass moulding end 5 of the lamp by taut supply conductors 3 and 4 passing through the re-entrant ports 11 and 12 to the electrode 2. The recessed end 5 of the lamp has radial lugs 9 and 10 engaging recesses in the plate 8 to prevent rotation thereof. In the construction shown in Fig. 5 the contact carrying plate 18 is of octagonal form engaging with an octagonal recess in the lamp end 15 to prevent relative rotation thereof.
