Class 146(3) Ink is prevented from leaking from the end of the reservoir of a ball-point pen by a resilient plug made of foam rubber, foam plastic, or other deformable material with fine pores therein, the plug being retained within the end of the reservoir Preferably, before it is inserted into the reservoir, the plug diameter is substantially twice the diameter of the reservoir and approximately equal to the plug length. Air can flow into the reservoir through the pores of the plug.
