Abstract
815,085. Textile driving rollers. FRASER & SONS Ltd., D. May 2, 1956 [March 25, 1955], No. 8773/55. Class 42 (2). [Also in Group IX] A package driving roller 1 for a machine for winding packages of bast or leaf fibres is provided with a driving surface of granules 2, for example of sand, silicon carbide or aluminium oxide, embedded so as to project slightly from a matrix 3 of an adhesive which is non-tacky when set and serves as a bond between the granules and the roller proper to provide a renewable frictional driving surface.
