Abstract
814,374. Lamp holders. UNITED-CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. May 23,1956 [June 6, 1955], No. 16026/56. Class 38 (1). [Also in Group XXV] An electric lamp socket 10 is adapted to engage an apertured panel 14 by means of a fastening device 22 comprising a body portion 24 from which axially extend resilient fingers 26 each having a radially outwardly extending shoulder 30 for snapping engagement into the panel opening 12, and a rearwardly facing stopmember 34, disposed laterally of the shoulder, which makes locking engagement with the adjacent face of the panel. As described, the lamp socket 10 is secured to the fastening device 22 by the flange 20 which embraces the ring- shaped body portion 24. The resilient fingers 26 snappingly engage the edge of the aperture 12 and disengagement of the fastening is prevented by the stop-members 34, the ends 38 of which abut the surface of the panel remote from the body portion 24.
