Abstract
808,131. Conveyers. KNAUST, H., and KRITTER, U. VON. Jan. 10, 1956 [Jan. 31, 1955], No. 827/56. Class 78 (1). In a conveyer consisting of a series of openended troughs 1 from each of which depend straps 14 supporting the axles 13 of carrying rollers 11, the conveyer is driven by flat link chains 3 disposed in such manner that the centres 4 of the joints between the links are situated above the bottom 5 of each trough and a free space 7 is left between the sides of the troughs and the chains which is so large that the securing elements for the joint pins can be mounted on the ends of the pins projecting from the chains. The chains 3 are secured to the troughs by angle-plates 2. The troughs have cylindrical parts 15 at the point of overlap which are concentric with the centres 4. The chains run in guides 8 and are supported therein in zig-zag form, Fig. 3, in the event of breakage.
