Abstract

807,017. Polish dispensers, brushes. HOOVER Ltd. June 18, 1956 [July 6, 1955], No. 19584/55. Addition to 762,306. Classes 19 and 138(1). An improvement in a modification of the invention set forth in the parent Specification consists in forming the handgrip of a handle for the polish dispenser, or the handle of a floor polisher associated with the dispenser, as a compressible hand-bulb provided with inlet and outlet valves and squeezable by hand to generate the air pressure for application to the dispenser. The upper end of the handle 12 is cut-away at 21 where it receives the resilient hand grip 22. A resilient bung 24 having a cavity 25 is mounted in the handle 12 adjacent the cut-away portion, the cavity being connected by a rigid tube 27 to a flexible air pipe 20 passing through the interior of the handle to the dispenser, and by a ball valve 36 to the interior of the hand-grip 22. The outer end of the grip 22 is also provided with a ball valve 37. The cavity 25 can be placed in communication with the outside of the handle through a valve 41 normally urged against a seat 39 in the handle by a spring 44 and operable by a button 43. If desired the valve 41 may be normally open and closable by the operator when it is desired to exude polish from the dispenser.
