Abstract
806,519. Electric induction lamps. SYLVANIA ELECTRIC PRODUCTS Inc. July 9, 1956 [July 8, 1955], No. 21249/56. Class 39(2) In an electric induction lamp comprising a target 3 of refractory material which is disposed within an opening 5 in a disc 6 constituting a magnetic field concentrator and is heated inductively to incandescence, the target is spaced from the boundary of the opening 5 and projects beyond the rim thereof in the direction of useful light emission. In the example the disc 6 is flat and the target projects outwardly beyond, the plane of the disc. The disc forms the end of a cylindrical metal concentrator 8 provided with a slot 7 as disclosed in Specification 806,518.
