[Also in Group XXX] In a cargo ship with means for stowing containers 1 in a plurality of superimposed fixed decks 3 to 7 and with at least one lift 2 that provides communication between these decks and a continuous upper deck, there is provided in each of the first-mentioned decks, adjacent the lift well, a system of fixed rollers 8 extending in the longitudinal direction of the ship, on which rollers can be moved longitudinally cover plates 9 for receiving the containers.
