Class 89(1) A sheet-metal nut member comprises arms 1, 2, Fig. 1, interconnected at one end by a pinion 3, one arm having an aperture 5 shaped to form nut means and the other arm 2 having a bolt-receiving opening 8, Fig. 3. Arm 2 consists of two angularlydisposed portions 6, 7. Portion 6 extends from portion 3 towards arm 1 and portion 7, joined to portion 6 by a bend 9, extends parallel to or substantially parallel to arm 1. Opening 8 is elongated and extends around the portion 3 to increase the flexibility of arm 2. The nut member may be used on panels of various thicknesses.
