A reversible disc plough for mounting on the implement lift-linkage of a tractor comprises a frame 1, a beam 4 mounted in the frame for pivotal movement in a horizontal plane, a vertical disc-supporting leg 9 rotatably mounted in the beam, and means, operable whilst the plough is being raised, to pivot the beam and cause operation of connecting means between the leg and beam to bring the plough into a reversed condition of operation. The means for reversing the plough comprise a bell-crank 34 movable laterally on the spindle 33 by a hand lever 39 and a chain 37 connecting the bell-crank to the tow bar of the tractor so that as the plough is lifted one of the connections 35, 36 on the bell-crank is caused to engage and turn one of the levers 31 or 32 which are pivotally connected by rods to a T-piece 27 fixed to the beam which is thus pivoted. A number of discs 10 may be provided each with disc legs 9 and the angles of these are reversed by means of a bar 26 which is rigidly fixed to the forward disc leg and which slidably engages a swivelling eye 25. Fine adjustment of the disc angles is obtained by longitudinal adjustment of the eye 25. A parallel linkage connects the disc legs, the rearmost of which adjustably supports a pin 15 for engagement in a slot 16 in the mounting of a depth-adjusting furrow-wheel 7 which is thereby adjusted as the plough is reversed. Modifications provide for adjustable locking members to secure the beam in its operative position ; an overload release device associated with the chain 37; a depth-control wheel at the front of the plough ; a swivelling eye associated with each disc and provision for the beam to be pivoted by means of a screw gear and linkage or by a hydraulic ram. The plough may be adapted to be reversed upon lowering.
