Abstract
800,113. Snow ploughs. SCHILLER, P. Jan. 2, 1957 [Jan. 7, 1956], No. 169/57. Class 107 The throwing mechanism of a snow plough has a common hand wheel and selected gearing so that it changes the position either of the impeller ejector or of the throw guiding plates. The impeller casing 1 is movable about its axis by a worm on a shaft 37 and the collector funners is rotatable about its tion the throw guiding plates 5 are adjustable about the axis by a shaft 31. In addiaxis 13. The shafts 31 and 37 (see Fig. 5) enter a gear box and are provided with bevel gears 30<SP>1</SP>, 45<SP>1</SP> each having an internal clutch member 40, 40<SP>1</SP> urged towards the centre of the box by springs 41. A cam 42 on a spindle 44 can be turned by handle 45 to disengage the clutch 40 (as shown) or clutch 40<SP>1</SP>, for alternative actuation of shaft 37 or shaft 31. The actuating spindle 44 runs in the hollow shaft 28 of the drive bevel (not shown) which is in constant engagement with the other two bevels and the hand wheel 27 is thus selectively engaged with one or the other adjustment. An extension 6 can be fitted to the funnel 3 for loading the snow into a lorry.
