799,455. Driving mechanism for endless conveyers. JOCHUMS, A., and WITTKOP, E., [trading as HAUHINCO MASCHINENFABRIK G. H. JOCHUMS & CO.]. July 13, 1956 [July 27, 1955], No. 21724/56. Class 78 (1). An intermediate drive mechanism of the type having endless drive chains 7 guided over chain sprockets 6 on which chains drive members 8 are secured which engage with the chains of the lower length of an endless jointed conveyer band 2, has a curved guide 13 to press the two sets of chains together into driving engagement. As shown, the troughed conveyer 2 at its lower run passes over support rollers 14 and therebetween is drivingly engaged by the endless chains 8 and is additionally supported by support rollers 19 carried by chains 33 which are stressed by springs 37 through double arm levers 36. Alternately rollers 19 may be individually and resiliently mounted.
