Abstract

798,179. Door-operating appliances. MORLEY, R. E. Oct. 26, 1954 [Oct. 26, 1953], No. 29481/53. Class 65(1) Doors are opened and closed by adjustable length links 49 connected to a slide 28 on a tube 12. The tube 12 houses one run of an endless roller chain 19 driven by a reversible motor 23 controlled by limit and reversing switch 25 actuated by an arm 26 engaged by pusher 54 adjustable on the slide or by member 53 on the door link 49. The motor is started by an outside push switch and the circuit held by movement of switch 25. The slide 28 is yieldinly clamped to the chain 19 by a spring pressed clamp 33. A releasing lever 46 actuated by a pull cord 48 is also provided.
